Nest Mini - lights off when mic off?

Hello!

We have our Nest Mini (2nd gen) in the same space as our Home Max display. We had to turn the microphone off on our Nest Mini because it would respond to voice commands intended for the display, but we only want the Mini to act as a speaker. Switching off the microphone works great, except that now the 4 glowing orange LED lights draw visual attention to the speaker when we would prefer it to just blend in with the background (something it does rather well with the LEDs off as the wall colour is not too far off from that of the Mini). 

I am wondering if theres a way to turn the 4 orange LED lights off when the microphone is switched off?

I've tried setting it to a "night mode" from 00:01 to 23:59 and cranked the LED all the way down, but it still draws more attention to itself than we would like it to. 

If this needs to go into a feature request list, here's some additional user rationale:

While I recognize the UX goal to provide visual feedback to a user who may be frustrated while trying to speak to a Mini with its mic off, this is a scenario where I would be okay to opt out of that in the device settings.

No there isn't any option for turning off the LED lights on Google Home or Google Nest speakers or displays.
