Hi Tarry87,

Thanks for reaching out and letting us know about your concern. Check out the steps below and let us know the result by updating this thread:

  1. Check if the TV model supports Wake on Local Area Network (LAN).
    • Some TVs may go into standby mode that makes them unresponsive to Assistant commands if the TV model doesn't support Wake on LAN. If you can’t turn on the TV but all other Assistant commands work (including “turn off”), it’s likely that the TV doesn't support Wake on LAN.
  2. Try a different voice command.

Regards,

Juni

Hi there,

Thanks for the details you’ve shared. Try the factory reset; this erases all your personalized settings and restores the factory default settings. It won’t automatically reconnect to WI-Fi, and you’ll need to set it up again. Check out the article below to know more about it.

Factory reset Google Nest or Home speakers or displays

Hello I did factory reset but is still not working, it says it does not know where to play Netflix, please tell me the exact name of the screen and if I says the name it still reply with the same thing for disney plus.

Hello there,

Got it. Have you tried contacting your TV manufacturer to see if their TV supports this feature? Since it's happening with your LG TV, it's best to contact them for additional support. Please note that we have very limited support for third-party TVs with built-in Google Assistants like LG.

Thanks,

Juni

I'm having the same issue. It's not an issue with Wake on LAN though, as everything functions fine with my phone.

I have three Nest Minis, they can do everything I ask with my LG TV, except turn it on. However, my phone can turn it on, either with the button in Home or through voice commands. And my phone is on my local network. So Wake on Lan can't be the problem. It must be something with the Nest Mini.
