Nest Minis Disconnecting from Wi-Fi

I see lots of people are having problems with their Nest Minis disconnecting from the Wi-Fi. Are Google actually doing anything about this? I'm also experiencing this, or rather my daughter is. She has three Nest Minis which started disconnecting from Wi-Fi some months ago.  First one, then another and finally the third but the later stayed working for months after the first one disconnected. I've reset them all, more than once, made sure the latest firmware is loaded and although they have worked for a few days, they again disconnected over a period of time. I brought two of the Minis back to my house and have experienced exactly the same problem. They work for a few days and then randomly disconnect from the Wi-Fi. The fact that this fault has repeated itself at two different locations I feel eliminates the Wi-Fi and internet connection from possible causes. It seems there is a major issue with the Nests given the number of other people having this issue.  Anyone managed to get this resolved yet? I'm glad I opted for Alexa as I've not had any issues with that.

That's good to hear. It is strange that some Nest Minis are working fine and then some are not.

Sometimes, these random disconnects are caused by several factors, such as network congestion, the distance between your Nest Mini and your WiFi router, an outdated Nest Mini firmware version,and others.

Let's go ahead and try setting up your device using a mobile hotspot. Please note that you will need two mobile devices for this setup (one to serve as a router and the other to be used to set up your Nest Mini).

I'm facing the same issue as you are. Only the nest minis I have, kept disconnecting from the Wifi. The Nest Hubs are working fine. It's so annoying that it kept repeating on a daily basis! The smart devices are suppose to help us to do a task hands-free but end up we have to keep turning it on and off. Totally defeating the purpose. I'm considering Alexa for my next smart-home ecosystem.

There are many issues with the mini's these days including sudden popping noises while streaming. At best, you might get a canned, scripted response from Google but it seems the latest firmware has caused irreparable harm to the devices or there's an ongoing network issue with Google servers. 

As for me, I'm done with Google products.
