I want to disable the Ambient IQ feature of my Nest Speakers. The volume will automatically increase so that is can be heard over sounds in the room. But sometimes those sounds are conversations. Or just in general, for instance, while vacuuming, inc. I really do not want the sound to increase so much that it can be heard over a loud vacuum cleaner. I often need to turn off whatever I'm playing so that I won't end up in a cacophony of sound. There may be others who find the feature useful. I can't think of any time that would be true for me. I would like at least to be able to disable it.

Hi LoftyIdeals,
That certainly hasn't been easy for you ― a few questions: what Nest speakers do you have? On what music platform is it happening? We need to confirm which device you have there to know what the next steps to take.
Looking forward to your responses.
Best,
Dan
