Today my Nest speakers connected to my Chromecast started crackling and popping like it's their job. I can't even watch anything anymore because it's annoying and distracting. I hopped on here to see what the fix might be but it looks like as of 2022 there was no fix and Google shut down the thread. How convenient for them. 😒
However that doesn't solve my issue so I'm restarting a new thread. Has anyone figured out how to really fix this or am I SOL?

Having the same issue, only started a few weeks ago. Given that users have been reporting this issue for a while there should be an update to fix this by now. C'mon Google, sort it out!

Hi folks,
@XWKAX, @AlwaysRaining, this is not the experience we want you to have; let us help you. A few questions: which Nest speakers and Chromecast are we working with? When did your issue begin? Were there any recent changes made?
It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first:
To narrow things down, which device is giving you the crackling and popping sound? Could you try having them play music individually?
Let us know how it goes.
Best,
Dan

I have two Google Nest Audios that crackle randomly too. I've tried everything I can think of from unpairing them, factory reset, different power outlets, different music sources, different settings etc. Tried everything that I've found online but the problem still persists.
