Nest audio does not obey

Up to a week ago I could instruct ( voice: ' Hey google turn on tv/chromecast ) my Google nest audio speakers to turn on the tv/chromecast.

That doesn't work anymore. The speakers light up and make a sort of acknowledging sound, but nothing happens.

I've pulled the tv plug as suggested online and reinstalled the chromecast; nothing.

As far as I know nothing was changed prior to this problem.

I can still cast from my phone.

Does anyone know how to fix this issue or am I doing something stupid ?
