Nest hub 2nd gen not providing screen report with snore minutes any longer

Until recently my 2nd gen Nest Hub with sleep sensing provided a useful screen report that displayed how many minutes I snored or made other noises each night. For some reason that screen has disappeared. You can see a graph of approximately when you snore but not the precise number of total snore minutes like before. Why the change? I bought this device some I could try to manage my snoring, but now it is far less useful. Major bummer.

I really wish all the sleep sensing reports were available on my phone also.

Hi Sbieda,

Thanks for posting. Let’s get to the bottom of this.

Kindly send us the firmware version of your Nest Hub (2nd Gen). Here’s how:

  1. Open the Google Home app Google Home app.
  2. Tap your device's tile.
  3. Tap Settings and then Device information.
  4. Under "Technical information," check for Cast firmware: "X.XXX.XXXXX." If the device is on Fuchsia, check for System firmware version: "X.XXXXXXXX.X.XXXXXXX"

Check the version on your Nest display:

  1.  Swipe up from the bottom of the display screen.
  2. Tap Settings and then About device. You should find your "Cast firmware version."

Also, you might want to get a hold of Fitbit to see if changes have happened on their end. Updates may have affected the "User Interface" on both the Fitbit app and your Nest Hub (2nd Gen).

For more information and troubleshooting steps, open this link: Sleep Sensing on Google Nest Hub (2nd gen).

Keep us posted.

Best,

Dan
