Nest hub max useless

Paul5

Hi all

I have both a nest hub and nest hub max and am having trouble with the max . 9 times out of 10 it doesn't understand what its been asked or can't do it. If I go to the kitchen and give the exact same command on the hub, it works with out issue. I'm not asking anything difficult or complicated just simple lights on, lights off commands . Is there an update or any one else experiencing the same issue? I am very disappointed with what was supposed to be an upgrade on the hub.

Thanks

Can you try power cycling the Max, and possibly relocating it a little bit, it's possible there is an echo that is causing interference with the mic, making it hard for the max to hear you?  Has this always been an issue or is this new?

Tried power cycling today with no improvement,  the max hears what is said as displays it on screen.  I honestly think its never worked as well as the smaller hub it replaced

Thats not good, so just to confirm its always been preforming this way, this isnt new?

I am going to escalate this to the Google team so they can get in touch, but you can also reach out to support directly for a faster response (https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp?hl=en) , the device may need a factory reset  (which support will ask you to do before anything else), or it may be faulty.
