Nest hub max

Nest hub max is back from warranty service. From that moment on, I had a problem connecting the wifi. After changing the wifi settings, we were able to connect to the wifi. After which I got a message that the nest hub max is connected to another user and this user must log it out of his account. What am I supposed to do in this situation?

I'm not sure what you mean by "Nest Hub Max is back from warranty service;" I didn't think Google Nest provided ANY servicing at all. I also don't know what problems you had "connecting the wifi."

But if you changed your Wi-Fi, you also need to do a factory reset, since Google Nest does not provide any other way to update Wi-Fi settings on its devices (except for some older cameras and doorbells).

The message you received about your Nest Hub Max is the error you get if you try to reinstall a Google Nest device without doing a factory reset to clear the Wi-Fi and other settings.

Hi folks!

@Akseniga thanks for your recommendations.

@MplsCustomer thanks for posting in the community.
I’m sorry for the inconveniences that you have experienced with your Nest Hub Max after changing the WiFi settings. I can see that when you are trying to reconnect the device to your account, you are receiving a message that says it is connected to a different account.

Here are some additional troubleshooting steps you can try:

  • Verify that you have already removed the Nest Hub Max from your account.
  • Factory reset the Nest Hub Max.
  • Create a new home structure.
  • Leave the Nest Hub Max unplugged for more than 48 hours.
  • Set up the device on the new home structure.

Tell me how it goes.

Regards,

Daniel.
