Nest hub second generation starts music random at night

For some reason my google nest hub second generation keeps starting music at random times at night. I disabled the function 'allow other users to cast media' but the problem is still there.

On the internet it says to look at the 'connected devices list', but the steps to get there on the google support site are not up to date. Because when i see my favorites, there is no option 'wifi'...

Please help me remove this problem, because it is frustrating me. Why would the device have to start music when i am asleep😡

Is it possible there's a routine setup to do that?
Set up and manage routines - Google Nest Help

Remember anyone who you share your home with in the app can create routines on your speakers.

There is no routine doing this. I have just 1 routine, that turns off all lights. Nothing more...

Perhaps on alarm has been set? Specifically a "media alarm"?

I am from the Netherlands. Apparently in the information for media alarms, it states it is only available in the US

Do you know when it started happening? Did you notice anything else around that time?

It started a few months ago. When i start using the routine to turn off all the light.

Maybe check the contents of that routine?

Try deleting and creating that routine again if you need it?

In the routine nothing would be starting the music on the google nest.

I have added one thing to the routine. I set the volume of the google nest to Zero.

And in the morning routine, I set the volume back to normal level.

Since than I havent noticed the music on the google nest. Normally I could see the app playing on the screen. But has disappeared too.

Hello Lotje1990,

Thanks for the update. Could you tell us the firmware version of your device? Also, has your device stopped playing music on its own now?

Cheers,

Muddi

firmware version: 11.20230306.3.112014

The nest is not playing the music at random times. I would know eventhough the volume is off.

I filled in the form!

This week out of the blue the Google nest was playing music again. Luckily I have edited my night routine when setting the music volume to zero. Because otherwise I would have been woken up by it. I noticed it when my morning routine set the volume back to normal.
