My Home and three minis are just caught in a "Hmm something went wrong loop". Suddenly and for no apparent reason. I've read all the posts and tried all the fixes. The machines are useless now.

Hi rddavis,
Thanks for posting. Let's sort this out.
Quick question — were there any recent changes to the network or recent outages? How far are the devices from the router? Also, how long have you been using the devices?
Best,
Nikki

Thank you for your reply Nikki. After trying every fix, I rebooted the modem and everything returned to normal. The devices are working again. I have been using the devices for 2 to 3 years.

Hi Ron,
Thanks for responding.
It's good to know that your devices started working again. It looks like a little refresh on the network resolved it.
Please keep on monitoring your device's behavior as I keep this post open for few more days. Feel free to update this thread if you have additional questions.

Princess

I'm now also having the exact same issue. I have three Home Mini's Gen 1 & Gen 2 and all has been working fine for years. We had a power outage about 1 week ago... and ever since I'm getting this "Hmm something went wrong" message. I have rebooted my router multiple times and I have done hard resets on them also.. and still I get this error... but if I do wait a few seconds... it responds as normal... it' just the first command either issues that error message... or with others... I don't get that message... but an extreme lag delay for the answer... up to 20seconds...?
What's going on... all was working perfectly fine before... and we have had power outages before also.
Please help...
Regards,
Anthony

Hey CreativeAnto,
Thanks for trying those steps and we're sorry for the trouble this may have caused you.
To make sure, have you tried resetting your Google Home devices? Could you check your router settings. (AP isolation must be disabled and UPnP must be enabled)? To isolate this better, try setting up one of our Google Nest speaker using a different network or mobile hotspot.

Alex

Hi Alex...
I did a 100% hard reset my router and that solved the issues. Thank you for the follow up.
