Nest mini communication

I was really surprised to find that my new nest minis could not call each other except via the very clunky 'broadcast' command.  There are some misleading articles out there which suggest that full duplex intercom like behaviour is possible.  I'm keeping one nest mini because I need it as an alert for the nest doorbell but the others are being returned.  I would have thought that a simple intercom over WiFi would be easy to do but perhaps not. Now investigating Apple devices. Does this work with the nest hubs?  Any help/ advice greatly appreciated.

Apple shouldn't support these devices so it may be worth doing some research into it. I know it is possible doing some research, but it isn't the easiest to do, if your nest devices support matter technology then it will be compatible as thats a new universal standard.

Help's here! About your questions if the Apple devices can be linked with the Nest Hub, you can use Matter in order to pair the Apple Speakers and the Nest Hub on the same home.
