Nest mini makes no sound during setup or ever. Will not connect to network either.

Was given a used Nest mini by a friend. I reset device so it was fresh. Already have google home setup for my deadbolt on my bedroom. No sound whatsoever during setup or at all. The colors and lights all seem to be reacting to commands and such, no sound though. Google home discovers nest mini but no sound or connecting to network. It says no connecting to network so fast as if it doesn't even try.

Sorry to hear about your experience with your Google Nest Mini, but thanks for bringing this up. To confirm, do you hear a sound when you adjust the volume on the Nest Mini? Also, do you gave an idea when and where your friend bought the device?
