Hello all. I have a Google Nest Mini speaker and (currently) I mainly use it to play white noise at night, in my child's room. I play a track from Spotify (I have a premium subscription if at all it matters) which has a duration of 10 hours. However, after 2 hours of playing, the track just pauses. When I try to immediately cast to it again, it acts as if it's temporarily unavailable (Spotify shows it stuck at Connecting...) although I can see it in the available devices to cast. After maybe a minute or so I'm able to re-cast to it again. Then the same things happens 2 hours afterwards.
The same behavior happens if I cast from my wife's mobile phone as well (Android as well).
I have tried resetting the speaker, I have tried reinstalling Spotify application. No luck. The device is set to automatically update firmware. Current versions are:
System firmware version: 384934
Cast firmware: 2.58.384934
Can anyone please help?

Sorry I can’t help, but I’m also having the same issue.
I use white noise to sleep (premium Spotify) and have a 3hr song on repeat, but after 1.5-2hrs it’ll pause and that wakes me up and I have to reconnect my phone to the speaker.
This seems to be a common issue, I’ve seen so many threads about it - but nobody ever seems to resolve it as thread is locked before.
Hopefully a specialist can help??

Hi folks,
Thanks for reaching out and letting us know about your concern. What is the distance between your Wi-Fi router and Google Nest Mini? Does it only happen when you are casting from Spotify? Have you tried the Ambient sounds feature on your Google Nest Mini? It will continue to play for 12 hours if not turned off. Check out the helpful link below.
Play white noise and sleep sounds on Google Nest speakers or displays

Hi Juni, thanks for the reply.
I have tried Ambient sounds feature and it works indeed for 12 hours. Although I don't prefer the ambient sounds, I can live with it for now. However this doesn't resolve the issue I had reported.
