Nest mini random loss of wifi

I did respond. Here is a copy. I have responded a number of times but never got a reply 

TP-Link Archer AX 10

Firmware 279716

Cast firmware 1.54.279716

I’m told that it automatically updates. Is that true?

It is only 20 feet in line of sight to the router. 

Usually asked for the local weather, but looses the wifi maybe a day later. 

Quite random. One time I believe it reconnected by itself after many hours, but I always have to disconnect the power and reconnect for it to regain the Wi-Fi.
