Nest mini speakers constantly disconnect from network

I have 5 nest mini's set up throughout my house with mesh router network. I also have a Nest connect, Yale door lock and Nest thermostat. I continue to have connectivity issues from the mini-devices with only 1 of them working consistently. I've factory reset the devices, moved devices still connection issues occur several times a week with the mini telling me "Your google home is not set up.... download the app etc..." - when I go into my Home app all of the devices appear online and verified connected because I can adjust the volume of each device through the app. Is it my hardware or is the software just garbage? These seem like more headache than they're worth.

@KLisk

Since it is happening to all 5 of your Nest Minis, it MAY have something to do with your Wi-Fi network or particular Wi-Fi settings. We have pretty plain vanilla Wi-Fi settings and our Nest Hubs and Nest Mini do not disconnect.

I have nothing special going on with our Wi-Fi settings. Not every device is disconnecting but the majority - and it's not as though they're disconnecting from the network, they still appear in the app and I'm still able to adjust volume through the app - but getting them to play music through Spotify, or respond to "Hey Google" without there being an issue is pretty rare.

Here's an example that happened last night - I've got a mini in our kitchen, I said "Hey Google, set an alarm for 10 minutes" - Google confirmed alarm set for 10 minutes. A few moments later I asked "Hey Google, how much time is left on my timer?" the device replied saying "Your Google Home is not set up. Download the app... etc..." I unplugged/replugged the device and on reboot it worked. This type of thing happens to 4 of 5 devices frequently.

There are other reports like this in this forum. Google Nest Support should provide some insight into the cause(s), rather than leaving it up to us customers to guess at why this is happening to some customers and not others.

Hi folks,

@MplsCustomer, I'm grateful for your help.

Thanks for reaching out and I'm sorry for this experience, @KLisk. Please try to change your WiFi password encryption type to either WPA-PSK or WPA2-PSK. Once done, factory reset your Google Nest Mini devices and then set them up.

Let me know how it goes.

Regards,
Lovely
