Nest speakers won't play together when using a wifi booster

jamiewds

My setup is 2 x nest speakers & 1 x chromecast.

I have a router and 1 speaker at front of house, and had to install a wifi booster, speaker and chromecast at the rear.  I would imagine this is common in bigger houses.

I find that if I'm playing spotify, the speakers act like they're on different networks and I can't get all speakers playing together. To make it work, I have to turn off the booster, make sure all 3 devices are connected, then I can turn on the booster.

If I have to turn off modem to reset, I also have to turn the booster off and wait for the modem to start before turning the booster on otherwise the speakers think they're on different networks.

This is so stupid and frustrating. Is there anything that can be done to fix this?

Thanks for your help
