I have to scream in order for my Google home mini to do anything

I have several issues. But one is I always have to scream at the Google mini in order for it to do anything. My girlfriend can whisper at her Alexa while the radio is playing next to her and it does what she asks.  Google will be playing Pandora on it and I will ask Google to turn it down and it doesn't hear me unless I scream at it. My other problem is it doesn't turn my television on and off consistently. Sometimes it will turn it on sometimes it won't. It will never turn it off it says it can't do that. I don't get that quite frankly but I don't care.  But often it will say it is turning my television on but it will not turn it on. Sometimes it says it's going to turn it on and it does. I've been on the horn with Google support several times. They're perplexed. Thought maybe the community had some answers for me. It's extremely frustrating.

Hi,

I appreciate the reply but I've come to the realization that it is what it is.  I've contacted Google support several times.  It works right for a day and then fails.  I'm over it.  I don't know if I need a new Google mini, or if I just need to remove google. I haven't come to that decision yet. But I'm honestly so frustrated with it I can't even tell you. It doesn't do anything that it's supposed to. The only thing that thing does right is playing music.
