No music plays.

I ask for music. The Google assistant says here is your music from Spotify.  Then nothing happens.

Hey Gaggsy,

Thanks for reaching out — let's see what's going on.

Was it working before? Do you have a premium Spotify account? Did you successfully link your Spotify account to your Google Home? If so, could you try rebooting your Google Nest device and router to refresh the connection. Unlink and relink your Spotify account. Also, make sure your devices are connected to the same network and within 15-20 feet of your router.

Looking forward to your response.

Alex

I am having the same problem. It started with music stopping randomly in the middle of a song. Then he says playing music from spotify and just doesn't, Now most the time the lights go orange and blink like hes thinking. After a few seconds he makes sounds like he turned himself off & back on. I have tried factory reset, but the first time I asked for music I got the same thing. Second time I asked I didn't even make it through a song before he stopped and reset himself.

Oh great! Now he has reset himself and made the start up chimes 3 times and is working on a 4th.

Hi folks,

Sthurman1981, Gaggsy, have you had the chance to try the steps provided above by Azarco? It would be of big help if you could try it so that we can narrow things down. It would also help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot:

  1. Unplug the power cord of your router followed by your Nest speakers.
  2. Plug them back in after 3 minutes tops.
  3. Restarting your phone might also help.

Looking forward to your responses.

Kind regards,

Dan
