No response from assistant on Nest Audio Speaker

Hi

 

 I have 2 Nest Audio devices with the same issue.

When I ask a question or command eg set a timer I get no verbal response from Google assistant

The lights show it is active from my saying Hey Google and it does set an alarm which then sounds okay, but I get nothing from Assistant to confirm it’s setting an alarm

if I ask it to play music then music will play but again no response from Assistant.

i have hard reset both devices by tapping the middle button till it informs me it will reset but this made no difference 

They were working fine but started this behaviour a few weeks ago

Hi, It sounds like your Nest Audio devices might have a firmware issue or a problem with the Google Assistant settings. Try the following steps: 

 
1. Check if your devices are running the latest firmware and update if needed.
2. Go to the Google Home app, select your Nest Audio devices, and ensure the "Do Not Disturb" mode is turned off.
3. Re-link your Google account to the devices.
4. Verify that the language settings for the Google Assistant are correct.
5. If the issue persists, consider contacting Google support for further assistance

I still have the issue see below for details to your steps in last update 

Both devices are running 3.73.420420

Do not disturb is not enabled

I have removed and re linked my account 

The language is set correctly

It seems we have an issues with Assistant more widely spread across the nest and Google home device - others now no longer respond to me but do to others. The Nest Audio devices won’t work for anyone at all.

 

It’s all a bit strange.

when I use assistant on my Pixel it responds to me

same issue. I conducted multiple factory resets, relinks etc. All settings in the Google > Assistant app and in Google Home > Speaker > Settings are fine

So it is all working for me now on all devices, started to be back to normal from 9th July
