No sound from nest hub gen 2

So Ive had my nest hub gen 2 for nearly 2 years it connects with all my media but has no sound at all. When I ask it a question and I can see it hears me and displays my question but offers no audible feedback. When I play songs all my other speakers produce sound but the hub doesn't. I can see it playing Spotify and streaming programmes but no sound. I've checked it's not connected to any other speaker system. Did a reboot and left it unplugged for a day. 

 

Any advice or should I just submit a warranty claim it's under 2 years old as I bought it in sep 21

Hi Jbb221,

 

This is not the experience we want you to have, let me help you. A few questions: when did your issue begin? Were there any recent changes made? What is the error message and the status of the LED light when giving command to your Nest Hub 2nd Gen?

 

It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first: 

 

  1. Unplug the power cord of your router, followed by your Nest speakers.
  2. Plug them back in after 3 minutes.
  3. Restarting your phone might also help.

 

If the issue persists, let’s revert your Nest Hub 2nd Gen to its original settings by doing a factory reset and setting it back up. Here’s how:

 

  1. On the back of Nest Hub, press and hold both volume buttons together for about 10 seconds. 
  2. Your Nest Hub will let you know that it's resetting.
