Hello,
I really like the Google audio speakers. The only thing that I don't like is that there are microphones on them. I prefer not to be recorded at all times, because even if Google doesn't misuse the information, you never know whose hands it might fall into, in the future... So I like that there's a physical "mic off" button at least.
However, when I turn off the mic, the speakers start glowing an angry orange/red color, reminiscent of HAL 9000. It's like it's angry that it can't listen and kind of looks like it's indicating an error. Kind of ruins the ambiance.
Could you please give consumers an option to disable the orange glow?
I was about to buy 2 more, but then stopped when I realized that they get mad when they can't listen in. I know Google makes it's money off of data, but some users are just paying for the hardware, not the data collection.
Thanks

I totally agree, there should be a way to disable the orange LEDs when the mic is muted. This option is available on other Nest devices, so why not this one too>?
