Periodically Displaying Favorites

For years, my displays showed Google Photos when checked in the app. Now it displays 'Art Gallery' most of he time. Tried rebooting it and no change. Any ideas as to what might be causing that?

Hi @Marco1,

Thanks for reaching out to the community page. I understand that your Google display has stopped showing your Google Photos as it did before and is now displaying "Art Gallery" most of the time. I appreciate your troubleshooting efforts. Let's work together to get this fixed. To better assist you, I have a question:

Also, let's try the following steps to verify if Google Photos is enabled in the Google Home app:

  • Open the Google Home app.
  • Select your display from Home View .
  • Select the Nest display.
  • At the top right, tap Settings > Photo Frame.
  • Choose the preferred photo source: Google Photos, Art Gallery, or Full Screen Clock.

Once you're done with the previous steps and you've made sure that it's okay, please verify the Google Photos settings to ensure your albums are selected:

  • Make sure your mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi or linked to the same Google Account as your display.
  • Open the Google Photos app .
  • Tap Photos settings > Apps & devices > Photo Frames.
  • Tap the Nest display where the album should appear.
  • Verify that the selected albums match those set in the Home app.

Please let me know how it goes after trying these steps.

Cheers,
Jonathan

Hi Jonathon

Turns out rebooting is not sufficient to resolve this issue but a full factory reset fixed it for me. I wonder if cache has something to do with it. Thanxs for your help.
