Playing music from nest hub to Sonos speaker

Hi

I am having issues playing music from Spotify from my two Nest Hub gen 2 with voice commands:

Works:

- Play music from Nest Hub

- Play music from Nest hub to another Nest Hub

- Play music from Google Assistant iOS app to Sonos speaker

- Play music from Sonos speaker (Google Assistant)

- Play music from Sonos speaker (GA) to another Sonos speaker


Does not work:

- Play music from Nest hub to Sonos speaker


Does anyone know what is going on? Seems like it is a Nest hub issue as the Google Assistant on iOS works fine.

I forgot to add that this occurs for music from Spotify. Radio channel from Tunein works

Before I start further troubleshooting, let me ask you a few questions:

  • When did the inconvenience start?
  • Are you using an Android or an iPhone to control your device?
  • What's the Nest Hub (2nd Gen) color and number firmware version?
  • Is your Google Home app updated?
  • Are the failing Nest Hub (2nd Gen) working alone, or are they part of a speaker group?
    • If they are part of a speaker group, are the Nest Hub (2nd Gen) devices in the same Home structure as the Sonos speaker?
  • Have there been any recent changes to your environment, such as a change in WiFi network or recent outages? 
  • How far from the router are the failing Nest Hub (2nd Gen) devices?
  • Would you kindly confirm whether your Nest Hub (2nd Gen) and the Sonos speakers are linked to a 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz WiFi network?
  • Could you please check if there are wireless interference like walls and floors, nearby WiFi networks, other electronics, cordless phones, baby monitors, microwaves, Bluetooth devices, and wireless video equipment between your Nest speaker and the router?
  • Have you tried to reboot the failing Nest Hub (2nd Gen) devices to resolve the inconvenience?
  • Have you tried to play music from the Sonos speaker to the Nest Hub (2nd Gen)?
