I'm extremely disappointed to find the old thread from 2023 has now been locked for replies for some reason - without a resolution.
This is still a problem, was never fixed and is beyond frustrating.
Platform doesn't matter. Whether it's a home mini, an older display, or the newest hub, or a nest speaker the result is the same. I have YouTube Music playlists that have hundreds of songs and after a small handful into a shuffle the same 3ish songs start repeating over and over.

Hi @Mntom,
Thanks for reaching out! I understand how frustrating it can be when your device isn't playing music as expected. Let's work together to figure out the issue you're experiencing. To help with that, I have a few questions for you:
Threads are automatically locked after 30 days of inactivity in order to keep content fresh. If you come across a locked conversation about the issue you're experiencing and there's no resolution, we encourage you to create a new thread so other community members can see it and chime in.

Hi Jonathan the problem occurs whenever asking Google Devices to "shuffle XYZ playlist".
We only use YouTube Music on our many Google devices in the house. It happens with all devices of varying types - all Google brand devices with the exception of one Bose device.

I could appreciate the "we're working on it" type response if this was new. But this is has been going on for what,..9 months?
It's unacceptable that the old thread was closed without resolution. Google should be absolutely embarrassed that this problem has been going on for as long as it has.
The fact that you'll "take it into consideration" holds no value or reassurance.
The problem needs the proper attention by dev and to be fixed. I've not seen any indication that will happen.
I'm beyond my patience with having playlists I can't use. I've invested heavily in the Google ecosystem and have nothing but regrets. Between the endless "smart" device issues, inability to simply shuffle a playlist, zero support, and integration issues with Google's own services within their own products I ask myself why I continue to support Google, they clearly don't care about or support me. I no longer have an answer to that question.
