Please add automated isp connection / modem optimization

I'm leasing my modem from Spectrum (hitron docsis3.1), and I'm not confident in its setup or configuration. Spectrum, like many ISPs, insist on doing the entire setup and install themselves, if you are leasing their modem.  

It would be great if Google provided a tool to help users understand the settings of their modems and and how they should configured, to provide the highest quality signal. 

I imagine there are plenty of Google wifi users who are savvy enough to search their modem configurations and figure out how to optimize them themselves, but i would definitely appreciate an assist.
