Presence sensing - Automation

I’ve set up an automation that uses presence sensing so that when my wife and I are both out the lights go off and some security cameras come on but if either of us comes home the lights come on and the cameras go off. 

Both our phones (iPhones) are showing as having location access on but neither automation seems to work. 

Anything I can try to fix this?

Thanks for posting. I'm sorry to hear about the situation that you are experiencing with the automation that you set for your cameras and lights. But don't worry; help is here.

In this case, I just need to ask, does your Home/Away Assist work fine before setting up your automation?

In the meantime, you can check the next aspects to make sure that all is correctly enabled:

  1. Make sure the products are online.
  2. Check that the Nest device is set to respond to Home and Away changes in the app.
  3. Toggle the Home/Away button.
  4. Check the customer’s phone’s location settings.
  5. Force close the app and reopen it.
  6. You can also restart your mobile phone and clear the cache.
