I just purchased a Pyle bluetooth speaker system, model PDWR62BTBK. I have a google mini and when i go to speaker and try to add it, it sees it but when it tries to pair it gives the error that Default speaker could not be set. I have no issues with pairing my phone or my wifes phone with it. I saw another post here with the same issue but no resolution on that thread. Was wondering if there is a resolution.

I have the same speakers and the same problem… would love to know if there is a technical solution for this capability issue.

It pairs fine with my Alexa. Are you using a google mini?

Hey folks,
Thanks for sharing details about the issue. To confirm, are you also having the same issues when connecting your Google Home Mini to a different device? Also, what are the troubleshooting steps that you've done so far?

Hey MarkH65,
Thanks for confirming. What Bluetooth standard (1.0 to 5.1) is your Pyle Bluetooth speaker on? Also, what specific Google Home/Nest device do you have?
Cheers,

Hi MarkH65,
Thanks for the information. Let's proceed in resetting your device. On the bottom of Home Mini, press and hold the factory reset button located below the power cord. Look for a circle etched into the base. After 5 seconds, your device will begin the factory reset process. Continue to hold for about 10 seconds more, until a sound confirms that the device is resetting. Once done, try to connect your Pyle Bluetooth speaker again to check if you'll still have the same issue.
Keep us posted.
Cheers,
Muddi

Hey MarkH65,
My apologies. I believe you have a Nest Mini device. Try these steps: On the side of your device, switch the mic off. The lights will turn orange. Press and hold the center of the Nest Mini, where the lights are on top. After 5 seconds, your device will begin the factory reset process. Continue to hold for about 10 seconds more, until a sound confirms that the device is resetting.
Let me know if that works.
Cheers,
Muddi

I did this, still won't pair. I'm giving up and replaced my google mini with an Echo which works fine with it.
