RadioApp will not load on my Nest Hub Max. Other nest devices in the same household are fine.
Has been working fine, but stopped within the last week or so. Responds to my voice command "Play 3AW' but then the loading process freezes. Other radio services seem fine (iHeartradio) works on the Hub max, but RadioApp does not.
Contacted Google support via email ... the suggested the usual reboot and update solutions ... no change. Opened a chat to Google support, nothing additional to help, but they did suggest to open a Feedback on the issue through the Google home app. When enough people report the same issue, it gets the attention of the next level support people, who should be able to resolve the issue.
** UPDATE **
This is a Google issue ... probably a bug in a recent firmware upgrade that you have no control over.
If you are on firmware level 26.20250116.103.2201 you will probably have the problem.
It is a worldwide issue for Nest Hub devices. Google are aware and some users in the UK have recently reported their problem has been fixed. Hopefully just a matter of time before they roll the fix out to us in Australia ... keep checking.
** UPDATE 2 **
Working here in Melbourne on Friday 2nd May at 9:45am. Was not working at 6:45am.
Seems ok for 3AW , 2GB , 6PR , ABC , GoldFM , Smooth FM , Nova , KIIS ...
... but not for MMM , MMM Classic Rock , FOX FM , 3MP . That is all that I quickly tried.
Interesting is that my firmware level has not changed for my Nest Hub Max. This suggests that there might have been as issue in RadioApp that they are progressively fixing up.
We will probably never know the root cause of the problem, but let's hope they get ALL the stations back ASAP.

Same here with Smooth UK on Global Player. Firstly one unit stopped and the day after reporting that my othec3 units were fine they too went down within 24 hours. Done ALL that has been suggested to no avail. It MUST be a genersl fault and google MUST deal with it as a matter of great urgency seeing all the posts, interest & pleas for help. Come on google step up please

I’m having the same problem trying to listen to MMM, Buddah Hits and 4BH in Brisbane. I say to google play MMM Brisbane, she says “streaming MMM from RadioApp”, goes to a screen where it says “playing radio app”, then jumps to a screen with RadioApp logo and nothing! Happening on both google devises, google nest and google nest max… I have another smart speaker from a different brand in bedroom and that works fine when I ask google to play one of my favourite stations, naturally seems to be a google devise problem… very annoying!

I have the same problem.
And now it is even worse, on my nest hub mini the Radio France app just freezes when asking for FranceInter (other nest devices work)
I think it is worldwide and google are doing nothing

My mini nests have stopped working too. I’m lost without them ☹️

It's very poor that even Google hasn't acknowledged this issue and given some sort of time scale.

Can't see anything official online, but there are a couple of posts in this tread from people that have actually spoken to Google support. The report they got back was that Google was aware of the problem and working on it, but I am yet to see this anywhere official as yet. I myself have received an email from RadioApp support (Australia) that stated that both RadioApp and Google were aware and working on the problem.
Time for Google to put something official out there !!

SAME ISSUE HERE. Its been like this for almost a week now.

My google nest hub no longer plays my radio stations through radio app. This has happened since the weekend I’ve rebooted and deleted the account and set again but no luck. Is it a radio app problem or the nest hub?
If you look through the rest of this thread, the most likely cause is a new level of the firmware from Google for the nest hub devices

Our RadioApp won’t play local Perth station 6PR anymore too.
conspiracy theory…… ‘It’s a political move’
Come on Google. Turn the dials, push the buttons, and get it fixed please. Sick to death of listening to the ABC……..

Same problem here. Radio apps are suddenly not working however I still working normally on Amazon devices. Sorry incredibly fast training when Google's voice commands are much more customizable so I really hope this gets sorted soon
a week ago
None of my devices do nor did my mums. I can’t even cast to it from my phone anymore. I did a feedback about it. Between this and getting rid of recipes, I’m ready to go to Amazon

There is a glitch with global player which Google are aware of.
say hey Google play Smooth radio by TuneIn. Or the station of your choice and it will work. You will be bombarded with ads though

Same issue global player wont work even when I open on my phone when I cast tune in wont work but does when I cast

Global player support have just confirmed to me that it is a Google issue on the nest hubs with the latest firmware and they are working on it

Dido, all 4 Google nests are not playing 3aw 😖 My days are just not right without Russ, Ross, and Tom. The workers they have @GOOGLE don't seem to be able to get their act together. #9now must be spitting chips as advertisers are speading money without a whole community of google nest listeners are no longer listening.

Its about time this issue was fixed. This has been going on for over 2 weeks now.....Not good enough

I'm having the same issue in the past week on both my nest hub minis, however it still works on my nest speakers

I'm having the same issues with all my google devices (hub, mini and normal google home). I've rebooted everything and tried rebooting my router etc with no success. I noticed this issue about a week ago (Victoria, Australia).
How do we report this to Google?
Hi GOritchie.
Google support have suggested to open a Feedback on the issue through the Google home app, or through the device(s) that are having the issue.
Get to the failure point, and say 'Hey Google , send feedback'. Follow the prompts to describe the problem, and when finished, Google will take a screenshot and send it to the support team.
Google advised me that when enough people report the same issue, it gets the attention of the next level support people, who should be able to work on and resolve the issue.
Many on this thread have already done this, and Google have acknowledged to me (over the phone) that they are in fact working on ... but ... no ETA for fix yet.

I did that last weekend, have since found out i am not the only one with this problem... surely they are fixing it .. i also sent an email to google somehow, they told me reset which i had already done.. today they told me to go to google home app, settings ,services select radio, sekect the radio service you you want to connect, tap unlink to disconnect, then link again... I TRIED THIS but there was no radio service to select at all, so i have screen shotted and sent that back , stay tuned

Hi Wendy, what country are you in ?
Linking a radio service is only available in the U.S. or Canada .

Just tried doing what you've done and I've had the same experience.
Ive reported it through feedback and I hope that they get it sorted soon! Bloody annoying as I like to have radio on when in the bathroom etc or when entertaining.
I've also tried casting to my hub display and it also doesn't seem to be working as it should.

Mine is now working so looks like we have a fix ???
Tuesday
Mine too. It’s working now. Global player is working
Tuesday
Excellent. Mine is still not working. Could you confirm your firmware level ? I assume it is working on a Nest Hub or Nest Hub Max ? Would be nice to see if it is later than 26.20250116.103.2201
If it is truly a fix, it could take a while to roll it out world wide.

Ok lets go do some testing.
Nest Hub First Generation - no change.
Nest Hub Second Generation - no change.
And sadly, Nest Hub Max - also no change.
Happily, your RadioApp from phone casting workaround still works.
Obviously the Hub's auto update at some point, is there a particular time when they do? Is it 3am in the morning, or whenever an update is available?
