Radioapp and default radio not starting (began 16 Aug)

This occurs on Google Nest Mini, Chromecast with Google TV, and Google Pixel 6 Pro... It's a Google Assistant issue!

When you ask "Stream Double J on Radioapp" nothing happens. On the phone it will show the app icon and radio station name, but no streaming begins, and the installed app does not open. 

Routines impacted. 

As Assistant uses Radioapp by default (when you don't specify the app, only the station name) this is even poorer UX.

Asking it to use TuneIn works.

iHeartRadio also not working.

I’m having the same issue since last night in Sydney. It tries to open Radia App but then it just shuts it down. I also can’t add in another radio app such as TuneIn Radio as there’s no Radio option under Add Services

Same here in Brisbane (ABC radio doesn't play).

It’s ABC Sydney for me as well. I finally worked out I could use the TuneIn radio app on my iPhone and cast it to your speaker/s using the Chromecast option. This could work for you as well.

Same in Melbourne. But asking to play using TuneIn works - after a long delay.

I finally worked out that I was able to cast from TuneIn radio to the speaker or speaker group with the Chromecast option

I cast to Nest via TuneIn app from my phone. Has been working well

Seems like a problem with radioApp. Direct use of app on Android has a massive pause that I suspect timeout for Google assistant.

Seems to have been on iHeartRadio also. But I think is has been resolved now.

Same here on any ABC stations, but does seem to work with other stations? I heart works…
