Randomly when I go to turn on / turn off my lights or run a routine with them I get the following error.
Sorry, it looks like the Bedroom Lights isn't available right now.
For example I’ll turn them on and the 2 minutes later when I go to turn them off I get this error. 30 minutes later the error will randomly go away.
I have no idea how to troubleshoot.
I can go into the Google Home app and turn them on or off without a problem.
The error happens when I use any of my Google Voice devices with my bedroom lights.
this is a new change. Everything was working fine 30 days ago.

I have multiple Google Devices - Nest Hub, Nest Audio - The issue occurs with all devices even the Google app on my phone.
In terms of smart lights - I have a mixed setup - TPlink switch, Sengled bulbs, and an off-brand LED Light Strip that uses a service called Magic Home WiFi.
Again - Note. The issue is limited to Google Assistant and voice commands - If I go into the Google Home app, I can turn all of the lights on or off with the tap of a button.

Hi everyone,
Thanks for the help @RXShorty.
@Thevik, thanks for bringing this up and I’m sorry you have that experience. Let’s check what’s going on. Since the issue randomly goes away let’s try to refresh the signal on your system by rebooting your WiFi router. If that did not fix the issue try to unlink and relink your smart lights and see if it will make a difference.
Let me know how it goes.

Juni

Juni,
I was able to do some troubleshooting and found that the issue is related to the following
When I say "Hey Google - Turn off the Bedroom lights"
I get:
Sorry, it looks like the Bedroom Lights isn't available right now.
but if I say:
Set the Bedroom lights to 10%
The command executes perfectly.
Currently, I'm stuck in a situation where I can't say "turn on the bedroom lights" or "turn off the bedroom lights" without having the issue.
Current Work Around.
"Hey Google set the bedroom lights to 100%" for On
or
"Hey Google set the bedroom lights to 0%" for Off

Hey Thevik,
Chiming in, have you had the chance of trying the steps provided above? Please try removing "The" on command. You can say, "Hey Google, turn on/off bedroom lights." Let's see if you'll get the same response.
Keep us posted.
Cheers,
Muddi

Sorry for the delay.
I removed “the” from the command and it did not fix the issue.
command
hey google turn off bedroom lights.
I still get the error.
fyi error had “the” in it even though command did not.
Sorry, it looks like the Bedroom Lights isn't available right now.
the following does work.
Hey Google set the bedroom lights to 0%" for Off

Hey Thevik,
Thanks for trying. To confirm, does the same issue happen when you use the Assistant app on your phone? Also, have you tried resetting the bulbs then re-link it to the Google Home app?
Keep us posted.

Muddi
