I've checked all settings in the Home app. I'm able to make GV calls from my Hub and Hub Max but can't receive calls.
Note. I also have my Duo/Meet account tied to the hubs. That account uses a different phone number. None of the articles I've read seem to address.
This could be the perfect landline replacement!
Thanks for the help, @MikeClark2000
@aujpoj, Thanks for reaching out and providing detailed information on your issue and the steps that you've done — these are of great help!
A few things: What message are you getting from the Duo app on your phone when you try to call your Nest displays? Were you able to use this feature before? To confirm, is this how you did the factory reset?
I look forward to your response.
I don't understand. Why would I use my Duo app to call my Nest display? Again, here's what I'm trying to do:
- I have a Duo account. This account is linked to the Duo app on my iPhone and my Nest displays.
- I have a Voice account. This account is also linked to my Nest displays and the Voice app on my iPhone.
- I would like to be able to use my Voice number on my Nest displays to make and receive calls (like landline speaker phone).
- I would also like to use my Duo account to make and receive video calls on my Nest Hub Max.
Chiming in to ensure everything is covered here. Just an added question: what country are you located in? Please note that you can only make outgoing calls using your Google Voice account on the Nest Hub Max. Meanwhile, you can use Google Duo to make and receive video calls on your Nest Hub Max.
Hope this helps.
