Google has knee-capped Max for recipes; nor can MaxHub connect to one's Google Drive with stored recipes
a/ does not work with subscription sites NY Times Cooking & AmericasTestKitchen; etc
b/ does not work with Google Drive
Since Google dev will not fix this until the year 2049; perhaps some community hacking is in order?
Possible Hack #1 use MaxHub as a virtual printer, ie from a subscription site, "Print" to the MaxHub to see the recipe on MaxHub display?
Possible Hack #2 make stored recipe docs on Google Drive searchable on www via doc level permissions?

Couldn't agree more. I've got a Hub Max I got for free from Verizon but it's pretty much useless. Shows some pretty pictures and responds to Google Home voice commands but not a hell of a lot more. So it sits in my kitchen looking pretty but when I'm cooking I fire up my Kindle Fire where I've got my recipes app. If I hadn't gotten this for free there's no way I would have spent money for such a limited device. Google's thinking on this thing is incomprehensible.
