Responses Coming from 2 Devices at the Same Time (Recent Change)

Recently as of yesterday I found my Nest Hub Max and Nest Audio are answering the questions at the same time. Prior the Nest Hub Max would normally say respond on another device, however they will both answer at the same time. They are located next to each other, in the same room in app, no changes were made in Google Home recently. I've rebooted the devices with the same issue. Unsure how to resolve it without just muted one of the devices which makes playing music defaulted to the Nest Audio within the Hub Max settings unusable

Hi, @gamingdexter,

Thank you for reaching out to the community. I understand how frustrating it can be when your Nest Hub Max and Nest Audio respond simultaneously. I apologize for the inconvenience. I’m happy to help you and find a solution.

To help troubleshoot, please confirm the following:

  • Have you created a speaker group?
  • Do both devices have the same name in the Google Home app?

If you've already rebooted your devices, please try restarting them again from the Google Home app. Additionally, ensure the app is up-to-date and that both devices are linked to the same Google account. Then say "Hey Google" or "OK Google" and then the command.

If you still hear both devices responding, please follow these steps:

Please let me know how it goes.

Best regards,

Ana
