Roku device hooked to TV trying to use my phone as Roku remote but don't know how to set it up

  • Ok my tv has a Roku box hooked to it I'm trying to download my phone as a Roku remote but can't get them to connect

Hey Willbill,

 

Thanks for posting. To confirm, do you have a Google Home/Nest device? If yes, follow the steps below or visit this link for more information.

 

  1. Launch the Google Home mobile app on your smartphone.
  2. Tap the plus icon in the top corner.
  3. Tap Set up device from the list.
  4. Select Have something already set up?
  5. Tap the magnifying glass icon, and search for Roku.
  6. Select Roku from the list.
  7. When prompted, sign in to your Roku account.

I had the same issue and followed the steps above but my roku box is not showing as an available device to add??
