My actions tabs consist in:
The problem is Google Home speaker can't activate the command "Turn off sounds in 2 hours" without media already playing, but I can't set up sleep sounds to play before that command because Home App says "Media must be last in routine"
What solutions do I have?
Thank you in advance for the replies

Hi Sousa,
Please try adding a custom action at the end of your routine with a command typed out like the example below....
'Play lullaby for two hours'

Hey there,
Cathal_S, thanks for the assistance.
Sousa, did the suggested actions by Cathal_S help? Also, are you using ready-made or custom routines?
Note: Sleep sounds play for one hour if not turned off.
Best,
Alex

I was using the ready-made bedtime routine, just changing the actions to match my needs.
I was under the impression that sleep sounds will play for 12h, since they should fall under the umbrella of ambient sounds. If it's only 1h I really don't need to set a time to stop then. I will try it today to confirm the time.

Hi again,
I also thought that they lasted 12hrs as per the help center.....
https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7364558
That's why I suggested that command.

Hey folks,
You're correct Ambient sounds will continue to play for 12 hours if not turned off. However, if it is an action on your routine, it will only play for 1 hour if not turned off. Check this guide for more information.
Thanks,
Alex

Hi @Azarco
I just tried this with a verbal command and the sleep/ambient sound is counting down from 1hr and not 12hrs.
What command needs to be used to get the 12hr playback time?

Hey Cathal_S,
You can try this "OK Google, "Play ambient noise" or use one of the commands on the link that you shared above.
Let us know if that works.
Best,
Alex

No I get the same 1hr countdown for any command that is suggested within the help center instructions.

Hey Cathal_S,
Thanks for trying. I'll check this with our team if we have reported a case about this. In the meantime, could you monitor your device if the ambient sound stops after an hour?
Thanks,
Alex

Hey Cathal_S,
I checked this with our team and they haven't received any reports about ambient sound. When you monitor your device, did it stop playing the ambient sound after an hour?
Cheers,
Alex

Hi again @Azarco
Interestingly my device is continuing to play relaxing sounds for more than an hour but the Google Home app displays this strangely as negative time remaining on an hour-by-hour timeline....
I will continue to monitor it and report back 👍
