Screensaver isnt displaying all google photos

I have an album created to display photos on my Google Chrome and the Nest Mini. Both don't display all of the photos in the album, only a select few ( maybe 5 out of 65). I've seen many posts with people having a similar issue but they are without a proper fix.

I have

  • Created a new album
  • Unselected and reselected the album.
  • Change the screensaver to something different and selecting the album again.
  • Restarted the device.
  • Probably forgetting something, but I'm sure I tried it.

Has anyone found a way to fix this?

Hi @TheCoolTeam ,

Thanks for posting here in the community. I'm sorry to hear the Screensaver isn't displaying all Google photos. Help's here!

To better understand the situation, I'd like to ask a few questions:

  • What kind of Nest Mini do you have?
  • Did you experience this inconvenience before?

Keep me posted.

Best regards,

Melany

I guess it's not a mini. It's a Nest Hub 7" 2nd gen.

Using the same album I am having issues with my 4k chromecast, too.

Hi @TheCoolTeam,

Thanks for the follow-up information.

Let's try those steps here:

  • Allow personal results: You can turn on personal results to allow the Google Assistant to read or show results specific to you. Follow these steps to Allow personal results.
  • Restart your phone: A simple reboot can often resolve temporary glitches.
  • Reinstall the Google Home app: Uninstalling and reinstalling the app can sometimes fix permission issues.
  • Try a different phone: If possible, use another phone with the Google Home app installed.
  • Restart your Chromecast 4K and Nest Hub 2Gen: A restart can help clear any cached data that might be causing problems. Also, you can Visit our Help Center to learn more about Rebooting your Chromecast and Rebooting Google Nest Hub 2nd Gen.
  • Google Photos Album: Create a new album in Google Photos with the pictures you want to display in Ambient Mode. Set the album privacy to "Public" so that Google Home can access it.

Keep me posted.

Best regards,

Melany

Hey! Thanks for reaching out again. I think it's working again, or at least I'm not seeing the same 5 photos. It's still not the whole album but it's an improvement.
