Shopping list no longer working with Google assistant

In the last few days, my Google shopping list seems to have stopped working with Google assistant. When I ask to add to my shopping list, instead of adding the item, it now says it will add to a list called shopping and nothing gets updated. This issue is on both my Pixel and Nest so it's not device related. I have attached a screenshot for reference.

We want to check if the recent firmware update resolves the issue that you're having with the shopping list feature on your Google Home and Nest devices. Let us know if you're still having trouble.

same here, list functionality is completely lost. tried multiple work arounds but nothing fixes, all devices factory reset and all.

Same here.  Switching to Alexa which basically does the same thing (but then you need all the Alexa gear)

I have the same problem. Started working again, but now it's completely off.. I'm looking for a hack to get up working again.
