SiriusXM Stopped Streaming

Yesterday my SiriusXM quit streaming to all my speakers. Speakers acknowledges Google commands (eg: streaming 60s Gold from SiriusXM) then nothing. I have done ALL of the usual work arounds. Anyone else have this issue? Could not find any recent reports on this. My speakers are all Home and Nest minis.

I have I have been having the same problem. Very frustrating, since I did my iPhone update this seems to be linked somehow yo that..

 

For me my SiriusXM works perfect on all of my devices (iPhones, iPads, internet etc.) through the SiriusXM app. I’ve done NO updates on any of them. My only issue is through Google Home. Don’t know if there is a link there somehow?

Same. Post If a solution is found. I tried to get contact info for Google, want to get customer support. I can’t find anything.

I've tried all the steps recommended buy SiriusXM won't play, however iheart and other radio stations will play

Will do but not fully accurate. it is just Sirius that is not Streaming.  Other services Stream fine. 

For the last 2 days, my nest will not stream siriusXM on any channel I request. It repeats it back, but then it's nothing but silence! Whatever it is that you are doing to update the chime is affecting it I'm sure. I am not the only one with this issue. I have read it from many people on other forums. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, relinked, rebooted, I have done all of it! And nothing is working.

Still having the same issues 

I am still having trouble with one SiriusXM channel, all others work fine - Symphony Hall Just Music will play one song and then stops playing.

Same here, channel plays one song then stops instead of advancing to the next song.

Do you experience the same problem on your mobile device while using the SiriusXM app; the Symphony Hall  channel plays one song and then stops playing?

Problem does not occur on my SiriusXM app, only the Google speaker and hub devices. Been this way for almost two months now.

Hi,

 

I talked to SiriusXM yesterday. They dropped the ball on working to fix the problem. They are now working on the problem.

 

They tried to blame Google for the problem. I am not sure where it will play out. I expect to hear from them next week.

 

Keep this ticket open until hearing back from SirusXM.

I had problems with Sirius/Google recently. I contacted Sirius and found them to be courteous, caring, and concerned with my problem and within a week they conceded the problem was theirs and stayed on top of it to correct.  They called me back with updates several times until the problem was finally resolved.  As far as Google, you're lucky to get a phone number to contact them. I find Google is less cooperative and tend to drop the ball with their lack of concern. Good luck with your problem

I experienced the exact same positive experience with SiriusXM customer support, and the exact same negative experience with Google Telephone Support...... I had to spend my time constantly calling Google Support and 9 out of 10 times experienced crappy support and responses from the person on the phone, clueless answers, lack of ownership responses, blame others responses, providing incorrect answers simply to get you off the phone answers, etc etc, bla bla bla... Google Support and the management of the support department, IE the managers, supervisors, VP's of that department etc, ought to be ashamed of themselves for collecting a paycheck from Google, they're not supporting anyone with the responses noted above.

Hey Google, (pardon the pun) take a clue from SiriusXM's support Department.

With Google, only 1 of of the 10 telephone support instances did I find what I would call an outstanding telephone support experience with a guy who solved the issue I had recently.

That fact should not be tolerated at Goggle, (or any company).  This all goes to the people Google hires and the training provided them.

I tried the send feedback with the keywords as noted above.    I’ve also unlinked/linked with 2 different Sirius accounts and also rebooted my nest - no luck at all but my Alexa device is playing just fine.

Hello folks,

 

We appreciate your patience, and thanks for keeping us in the loop. It's nice to know that some of you are able to listen to SiriusXM using your Google Home/Nest devices. While we're waiting for a confirmation from the team that this has been sorted out - I suggest that you try un-linking and re-linking your SiriusXM account from the Google Home app to refresh the connection between the two apps.

 

I'll update the thread again once I have more information to share.

All is good except I have one Geeni light that will only turn on and off if I tell it to turn all the basement lights on.  I think I just have to take the time to redo it.

Shortly after I posted last week, everything started working and continues to work perfectly. It appears that whatever was causing the problem has been fixed.

Has been doing this for the past two days only on SiriusXM on all hokd devices, works fine on the app. Furthermore if I try to cast it from the app to the home device it will also stop playing after a few minutes

Cannot get it to work!

I can only play certain stations others say it’s not available but if I keep saying it sometimes it’ll work. WTF!!! 😡

Yes, still need help with this issue as of 06/04/23:

Google Assistant started to constantly repeat the following when anything is requested relating to SiriusXM:

"Voice Actions aren't available for that App" and/or "Sorry, I can't do that yet", and/or "Voice commands are not available yet for that App".

What is the fix for this?

Yes, my Google Nest Speaker performance is also going bad. Clearly, a system upgrade is in progress and not going well for Google.

What's sad for Google is their lack of support for this issue. Nobody, I mean nobody from Google and/or google community is commenting.  I can't be the only one with this issue.

I'm currently on hold by telephone with Google support, and they are clueless.

Where is the google support?

As of about an hour ago the problem seems resolved. Both Routines and Voice Command are working on Mini an Hub (Gen 1 &2)👍

Thanks again to the Nest Elves who seem to be winning the battle over the Gremlins.
