I contacted Sirius support about this issue first and they say that I need to contact Google Assistant/Nest support about the issues with playback features on the Nest
My question is where are the skip forward and backward features. I should be able to "skip back" and listen to a song again, or skip a song if I have either paused from live and have available lead time. Pause and play work fine, but if I missed something and need to go back or want to just hear a song again (or, if a song plays that is overplayed and I don't want to hear it again) the features should be there (they are on most radios and in the web player on Sirius site, so they most likely broadcast a "break" indicator to say when one song starts and another ends)
When/if added, it would be great to allow hand gestures to go back/forward as well

I've tried voice commands to skip or rewind, there are no buttons on the nest display for those functions on the nest hub
It has never had this functionally as far as I know
Gen 2 no camera

Hey Kender,
Thanks for the update.
This may not be the answer you're looking for, repeating a song or skip within a song isn't supported with speakers and displays. You can check this link for the supported commands. We're always looking for ways to and we'll take it as feedback. Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns as I will be locking this in 24 hours.
Kind regards,
Alex

You should let SiriusXM know that, they told me ff and rew were supported up to 5x (1 back +4 forward or 5 forward)

I have experienced this pausing issue as well. Not only that, and more bothersome, is the pausing for a second or two randomly every few minutes. It used to only happen on one station (341 Utopia), but is now doing so on other stations.

Hi slashinpdx,
Thanks for reaching out to the Google Nest Community!
A few things I'd like to ask ― what type of Google Nest speakers are you using? Is it only happening when you're using SiriusXM? Have you tried using other radio services?
If you have already tried rebooting your Google Nest speaker, try unlinking your SiriusXM service by following the steps on this link. Let us know if these steps work.
Regards,
Dan

Dan: Thanks for the response. I'm using a mix of Nest Hub, Nest Hub Max, two minis and one standard.
I've rebooted everything and also replaced my router with a new Nest Wifi. I've unlinked the Sirius account a few times.

Hi slashinpdx!
Thanks for the additional info.
To further isolate the issue, let's perform a complete reset to one of your Google Nest speakers. As soon as the reset is done, set it up using a mobile hotspot.
Please note that when connecting your speaker to a mobile hotspot, you will need 2 mobile devices; the first one will serve as a hotspot and the other one is your set up device.
Let us know if these steps work.
Best,
Dan

Dan:
I've completely reset the devices. Your suggestion, while interesting, has little merit and assumes that I just happen to have not one but two mobile hotspots available.
I have gigabit internet.
After further testing, the problem doesn't appear to happen in the afternoon.

Hi slashinpdx,
Chiming in-- have you noticed any changes on your device's behavior? Let us know by responding to this post, otherwise we'll be locking the thread.

No. It still pauses frequently and stays paused sometimes. Are you asking because someone made a change and expect a different behavior?

Hi slashinpdx,
Not at all. We'd just want to make sure that we cover all the bases and we appreciate your effort on trying some steps. How about the distance, have you moved the device closer to the router?

Princess

I live in a 900 Sq Ft condo. I very much doubt my Nest Wifi could be having trouble communicating with the devices. As I've mentioned, this only happens with the one station (it seemed to with another station for a short period of time, but that is no longer the case). One would naturally assume that the problem is with that station, or the way that that station is re-broadcasting via the Google Home network.

Hi slashinpdx,
Thanks for the additional info you've provided. If the issue only exist on one radio station, we suggest reaching out to that specific station to check if they are getting any similar reports regarding this.

Princess

Way to pass the buck. Lame.

Hey slashinpdx,
We understand how you feel. Since the issue is isolated on a specific station only, we need to check with Sirius if they are getting similar reports and be able to communicate with the station as they are the source. Also, please check if you have the same issue when using the Google Assistant app on your phone.
Cheers,
Muddi

Have you had the chance to call Sirius XM support? Also, what happen when you try ask the Assistant app on your phone to play the radio station?
Looking forward to your response.
