After working again for four weeks, SKY News has lost it's audio again. Really, really annoying. Come on Google, get this sorted out. Not happy 😫

Hi RodBod,

This is not the experience we wanted you to have, let me help you. A few things: which Nest speakers are we working with? When did your issue begin? Were there any recent changes made?

It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first:

  1. Unplug the power cord of your router followed by your Nest speakers.
  2. Plug them back in after 3 minutes.
  3. Restarting your phone might also help.

Could you try another news outlet? See this guide for more details.

Best,

Dan

The problems seems to be at the SKY news (UK) end. One day it works, the next it doesn't. A few days later it works for a few more days, then not... Exactly the same issue at a friends house on his Google Nest Display (gen 1) too. All the other video news streams (after "OK Google Good Morning") still work flawlessly. Oh well. Not a Sky News (UK) fan anyway. Just wish Google would replace it with BBC News (video) rather than the current BBC News on audio only.

Hi RodBod,

We appreciate the information and it would seem like you need to reach out to SKY news (UK) for more information and troubleshooting if needed.

About having Google to use or add BBC News (video) in line with the current BBC News (audio), we want to encourage you to send feedback from your end and we’re hoping for all the possibilities by taking our user’s feedback and suggestions.

Let us know if you have additional questions, otherwise we'll be locking the thread in 24 hours.

Best,

Dan
