Slide show works intermittently

I have two Google home hub screens with the same problem. When displaying pictures as a slide show they will get stuck on a picture. The only way to unstick them is to swipe left to manually go to the next picture, and then they will start doing the 30 second intervals I have set up. After an hour or so then they will get stuck on a picture (not the same picture) again and the cycle repeats. I've had these hubs for years and this behavior started happening recently. As I said above, this is happening on two different devices set up in two different areas of the house, so it appears to be a SW problem.

TIA

Hello SCJeff,

Thanks for visiting the Community.

I know how challenging it is when you're having issues with your Google Nest Hub. Let's try to get to the bottom of this. A few questions: which specific Nest Hub do you have (1st, 2nd gen, Hub Max)? What is the current firmware version of your devices? Have you tried using a different album? Also, what are the troubleshooting steps that you've tried?

Looking forward to your response.

Cheers,

Muddi

Thanks for the reply Muddi. A day or so after I posted about this issue I woke up in the middle of the night and it looked like the Nest Hub in my bedroom was going through some sort of update. I assume the one in the other room was doing the same thing and ever since then the pictures on both have been cycling correctly w/o ever getting stuck. Not sure if it's a coincidence, but for now it all seems ok 😊.

Hey there,

Perfect! I'm happy to hear that your issue was resolved! It is possible that it has something to do with the update since we recently released a new firmware version for the Nest displays. It looks like we can consider this one complete, so I will lock the thread shortly unless I can help out with anything else.

Cheers,

Muddi
