Some one light help me about command interpretor

My vocal command is functioning in french to Switch on a lamp:

Hey Google allume lampe salon

But not to turn off with the order:

Hey Google éteint lampe salon

It says that it doesn't know the device

But if I say in English :

Yes Google Switch off lampe salon

The command is executed.

Let see the proof in video

Any one might help?

Thank you for your effort

Hi Jeanphilippe,

There seems to be an issue with Google Assistant recognizing your French voice command to turn off the lamp. Here are some things you can try to fix it:

1. Check Language Settings:

  • Make sure French is set as the primary language for your Google Assistant. You can check and adjust this in the Google Home app settings.

2. Re-sync Smart Home Devices:

  • Try unlinking and then relinking your smart lamp from the Google Home app. This might help re-establish communication and ensure commands are recognized correctly.

3. Train Your Voice:

  • Google Assistant offers voice training to improve recognition. Try going through the voice training option in the Google Home app settings for French. Speak the command "éteint lampe salon" clearly a few times during the training.

4. Alternative French Commands:

While "éteint" is a common way to turn something off in French, Google Assistant might support other synonyms. Try using some of these alternatives:

  • "Hey Google, coupe la lampe du salon" (cut the living room lamp)
  • "Hey Google, désactive la lampe du salon" (deactivate the living room lamp)
  • "Hey Google, éteins la lumière du salon" (turn off the living room light)

5. Report the Issue:

  • If none of these solutions work, you can report the issue to Google. This helps them improve their language recognition for French commands. You can use the feedback option in the Google Home app.

By trying these steps, you should hopefully be able to get Google Assistant to understand your French voice command to turn off the lamp.

Keep us posted

Regards,

Ivan

Thank you very much for your Replay. I will report to Google support because the last release is not fixing French recognizing. (How to report?)

Thank you so much
