We have 6 Gen1 Hubs and 6 Gen1 Mini's. We have multiple Android Phones & Tablets in our home and they all have different versions of the Android OS. All but one of them work fine with Google Home. My Android Tablet with Android 10 opens Google Home fine and used to connect to all the devices but when I go to look at a device now the volume control is at "0" and when I click on the settings wheel I get the "Some settings are available only when your mobile device and this device are connected to the same WIFI network" I only have one network and it's only 2.4Ghz. I like using the tablet since I'm getting older and the phone display just isn't big enough anymore. Interestingly enough my son's phone with Android 7 and my phone with Android 14 both work fine.
I have tried every troubleshooting idea that I could find here and elsewhere on the Internet. I don't want to Factory Reset my Tablet. I just did that with my Google Chromecast Audio (before I got the message from Google) and that could have been a disaster but I got it connected to the network again using the back date trick on my phone. I still can't use it but at least it's connected to the network so it should get the fix when they send it.
With the number of users Google has you think they would have come across and solved all these problems by now.
Thanks in advance for any help you all can offer.

I think I figured this out. I am experiencing the Google phenomenon known as lack of server throughput or Internet capacity. Every Google device runs through the cloud and when the cloud or the Internet gets too overloaded we experience intermittent interruptions to some or all of our devices. Most of the devices are just dumb terminals and need the computing power of the servers to do anything. That is why none of them work when the Internet is down. So this means that the controlling device...our phones and tablets can also become disconnected intermittently as well. That is why projects like Home Assistant are offering as much local control of devices as possible so that you can still function even if the Internet is down. I spent many years working in computer support and this is why I railed against small companies relying completely on Cloud Storage as opposed to a local server.
Unfortunately if we want the convenience of these devices we also have to put up with the reliability issues that come along with them.
