Something Went Wrong, Try Again

Cebunn227

I have 6 nest audio products in my home. Currently 4 of the 6 are not working. I get the errror “hmm something went wrong try again in a few seconds. Unplug and try again”.

It's extremely frustrating that this occurs and what must be a common scenario (multiple speakers in one home). I've tried factory resets with no luck.

HELP. our home has smart plugs, smart lights, Google doorbells and security cameras.

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out to the community! I apologize to hear that your Google Nest devices are experiencing the "something went wrong" error. I'm here to help. I'd be happy to help!

I also apologize for the delay in response. To better assist you, I’d like to ask the following questions:

  • When did the inconvenience start?
  • What are the specific models of your six Nest devices?
  • What is the firmware version for each of your six Nest devices?
  • Are your devices consistently connected to your Wi-Fi network?
  • Do your devices appear online or offline in the Google Home app?
  • What was the exact error message before rebooting, factory resetting, or resetting up the devices?

In the meantime, you can try the following steps:

  • Remove the devices from the Google Home app and re-add them. You can refer to the next article for instructions: Remove Google devices from the Google Home app.
  • Ensure you have the latest versions of the Google Home app and your mobile software.

Please keep me posted.

Best regards,

Jenniffer
