Something went wrong / Connected but mini is not working

Hello, I had this issue since yesterday and i have tried everything but no use. I had this device since 2020 and had no problem. Yesterday it suddenly disconnected and i tried factory resetting but still it doesn’t work. I connect it with my newer iPhone but this pops up  “ Zeynep's speaker may be set up, but we could not communicate with it from your iPhone. Make sure that you have enabled local network access in your iPhone’s privacy settings. Then try again.“  I live in Turkiye (which is not on the list of supported countries BUT since 2020 I had no issue whatsoever- till yesterday.

“This Google Home Mini was manufactured for a different country, and may not be compatible with your Wi-Fi network”

It was always compatible with my Wi-Fi and I have not changed my Wi-Fi settings. Does anyone have the same problem?

Hi @zeynep1,

Thanks for posting here in the community! I'm sorry to hear that your Nest Mini is no longer able to connect to Wi-Fi networks. Help's here!

To gather more information, I'd like to ask the following:

  • In which country did you purchase the Nest Mini?
  • How did you perform the factory reset process?

In the meantime, here are a few things you can try:

  • Make sure you have the latest version of the Google Home app and the phone's software version.
  • If your router offers dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), try connecting your Google Nest Mini to the 2.4 GHz band instead.
  • Try rebooting the Nest Mini. For instructions, refer to this article: Reboot Google Nest or Home speaker or display.

Please keep me posted.

Best regards,

Jenniffer
