“Somethings not right”

I have two nest minis that abruptly stopped working on the same day. The both stopped doing routines and started saying “hmm somethings not right”.  I unplugged and plugged back in, did reboots through the app, and did a factory reset on one. When setting that one up in the app, I got an error message that I learned meant something with the language in the phone and app. Changed all of my phone and Google languages to be the exact same (us english) and was able to finish the set up. Only for the things to respond “somethings not right. Wait a few minutes and try setting it up again. You can also try unplugging your device and plugging it back in”. But I’ve already done that- even leaving unplugged an entire day. This device is 4 years old and the other is 7 years ago. They’ve never given me any issues. This is maddening. Are they just garbage now???

I agree.  We are regularly getting issues with our two speakers.  This morning:

But it extends beyond this with other intermittent issues.  Things like asking for a radio station and it playing something from Spotify.

I have routines set to wake us up each morning. It’s supposed to start with the time, weather, and then BBC and NPR news. Before they crashed out on me they’d started skipping BBC which would glitch out the whole routine. This is really annoying.
