Suddenly, about 3 months ago, our Google Home Hub stopped setting timers or named timers - like “set a timer for 45 minutes for laundry.” Could not figure out why it suddenly stopped working one day. Got another Hub (Gen 2) and while the new one would set a general timer about 50% of the time, it would NOT set a named timer.
Found a recommendation online to confirm the address within Home App -> Settings -> Home Information. I changed the city to the more specific city name where we live… and voila! Now it works! Double check that the address actually pins the correct map location when you make the update.
