Hi, this has been explained with someone else previously however the was no solution provided.

How do I tackle this issue? How do I set up my mesh to allow multicast?

Hi XSky,

Thanks for posting. I'm sorry to hear about the situation that you are experiencing the Speaker Group no longer working with mesh WiFi. I understand how frustrating that situation can be. But don't worry, I can help. Let’s try setting up a Guest Wi-Fi network for your speaker group.

Here are the steps that you can follow:

Set up Guest Wi-Fi

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. Tap Favorites > Wifi >  Network settings > Guest Network.
  3. Turn on Guest network.
  4. Enter a network name and password for your guests to use.
    • A password is required for Guest networks.
    • Choose a name and password that is different from your main Wi-Fi network.
  5. Under “Shared devices,” select any devices you would like your guests to be able to use.
  6. Tap Save.

Please let me know If you have more questions, I'll be more than happy to help.

Best regards,

Jenny

"Guest wifi for speaker group" is not an acceptable solution. Is there a way to report this to Google? I am experiencing the same issue.
