Hi, I've recently added a new Google Mini speaker to my home. I tested it & it works fine. So I then went ahead & added both my speakers to a Group so I could utilise the Multiple Speaker play function for Music. Each speaker works perfectly on their own but when I ask Google to play the Music on the Group Speaker, it only plays on one. I have looked up multiple FAQ's on the subject but nothing has worked.
They are both connected on the same 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. My Google Home app is the latest version. Both are linked to my Music service. Am I missing anything? 😕 TIA

Google has changed something. I always had 1 speaker group (livingroom and kitchen) and since 3 days it’s not working anymore. Only 1 speaker at a time. I can switch between them but as soon as I activate the group or manually add the other speaker the music stops 😞

Yes, I'm wondering if they haven't fully rolled out the update yet. 🤔 I seen a pinned post about them having to change it some time back, as 1 or 2 companies were attempting to sue them. So until that got sorted out, they had to change the settings. Which meant that any devices you wished to group for multi speaker listening, couldn't be in any other groups. However the post stated that it's all sorted now & they were going to switch it back to the way it was originally. It said that it should happen within 48hrs (from memory) & the post was written 3 weeks ago. So I'm guessing they haven't fully rolled it out or they have & now there are further issues (bugs)! Technology these days is like an ultimate stress test! 😅 Hopefully someone can clear this up for us! 🤞🏻

Hi folks,
Thanks for reaching out. I apologize for the inconvenience you're experiencing. We'll work together to identify the cause of the problem and find a solution.A few questions: when did it begin? Were there any recent changes made? What other steps have you taken so far?
You can delete and create a new speaker group, then observe if it makes a difference. Check out the helpful article below.

Hi Juni,
Thank you for your assistance. I have never used the Speaker group function before, as I only had one Google mini. So it's exactly as I stated in my original post & also therefore the date of which I experienced this issue. I followed a lot of trouble shooting guides to see if I'd done something wrong etc to no avail. Which also led me to this Community. I had also already deleted the original speaker group & set it up again. No change. Which is why I posted in here.
If you require any further info then what I have already supplied here or would like me to try something else, please let me know. I am limited in time atm but will certainly go through the article you have shared later today. Thanks again.

Hi Malakye,
Thanks for the additional details you’ve shared. Try to create a new home structure and add your devices there, then observe if you will get a different experience. See the steps below on how to create a new home structure.
Note: You can have up to 5 homes in your account.
Thanks,
Juni

Will do. I'll report back with the results, once I've had the opportunity to do such. May not be till next week as life is hectic atm. Wishing you a wonderful weekend!
